Information

Back in '86, Frank Höppner (Guit.), Thommy Beierle (Bass)
and Ralf Sommler (Drums) founded a Rock and Roll-Band named
DRAGONFLY.
After a few years of practicing, influenced by famous Rock Bands
of the eighties, the second Axeman Bernd Schiemmer and Frontman
Martin Brendler completed the Band.
Since that time the cast did not change, what shows that friendship
is an important fact in the Band. Even if there is not always
the same opinion in what's the best way for the future, in one
way for sure there is one opinion: the way to rock!
A few more years of consequent hard work led to a music-style
that roots base upon a sound of that Neil Young says: it "will never die".
And even if the times and the sounds changed, there is still one way of
playin' Rock and Roll: straight and kickin, and that's what
DRAGONFLY does.
Theyselves call their music Steamrock, but describing a music-style
is nearly as difficult as describing a colour. So the best way to build
your own meaning is very simple: just listen !
Along with many live-gigs and a song on a sampler-album with the best bands
of the county in '91, the band managed to introduce their
debut-album "Unchained" to the public in '93.
Even if the album was a low-budget-production,
basing on a former demo-tape. the CD was noted well by audience and critics.
Between '93 and '94 live-experiences all over Germany followed, and a few weeks
of studio-work resulted in the album called ,butlets and bones" in '95.
The Last an Newest Album 'Fish Dishes' released at Nov. 98
to be continued...
